The Wilcox Family, descendents of the late Elliot Uriah and Terzah Elvira, will meet for the 70th time on Sunday, July 25 at Round-Top Park (Athens Township) Pavilion #11. Please note different location.
This will officially be the first Wilcox/Butters Reunion so please make these relatives welcome. They are related by the marriage of Harry Beecher Wilcox to Della Butters, daughter of Sylvester and Martha Truesdale Butters. Harry and Della were the parents of 13 children, so many are descendents of that union.
Dinner will be a 1:00 p.m. and a short business meeting will follow. Please bring a dish to pass and your family’s tableware. Meat and beverages will be provided. Bring your lawn chairs or blanket for comfort.
At last year’s meeting it was decided to have a White Elephant Auction, so please bring one or more new or used (in good condition) items to sell. They had a great time with the auction and raised $176.31, but it was rather lengthy; so this year they’ll have a Chinese / Silent Auction instead. This means they will sell tickets and you will place as many as you want in a cup for chances to win whatever appeals to you.
Eighty-nine people who attended the reunion last year, and it is hoped by organizers that they can increase that number.
