An open discussion of the work of Elizabeth Berg is scheduled for Aug. 17, at 1 p.m., at the Bradford County Library. Meetings on the third Tuesdays are intended to “meet” new writers and readers, as well as to provide a forum for literary appreciation.
Elizabeth Berg’s novels have been selected as American Library Association’s Best Books of the Year, and has earned her NEBA prize for fiction. Her novel, “Open House”, was named an Oprah’s Book Club selection. Her work has been praised for its “brilliant insight about the human condition.” Her characters find solace in familiar comforts, take stock of their lives, and accept change. The author and the novels give much food for thought and discussion.
The County Library is located on Rt. 6 in Burlington. For more information, call the library at 297-2436.
