Master Gardeners to hold Open House

Bradford County Master Gardeners extend an invitation to attend the annual open house on Aug. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Cooperative Extension, 701 South Fourth St. in Towanda. The agenda includes a garden tour and a question / answer session for those working in the perennial bed, the rose garden, the combination vegetable – flowers, and the cutting flower bed.

At 6:30 p.m., the program “Good things from the Garden” will feature recipes for hot peppers and edamame, methods of growing fresh sprouts, drying vegetables, and using edible flowers. A tasting table and recipes will conclude the evening.

Registration is requested. Call 265-2896 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The program will be held in the garden, so please bring a lawn chair.
