The Endless Mountains Heritage Region, Inc. (EMHR), announces its plans for annual events taking place on Oct. 14 and 15, including a Historic Preservation Roundtable and a Regional Summit on Heritage, Greenways and Byways. The slate of activities begins with a Historic Preservation Roundtable on Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. at 7:00 p.m. at the Bradford County Historical Society Museum located at 109 Pine St. in Towanda. This meeting is free to the public and will feature historic preservation specialists from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, Preservation Pennsylvania and Endless Mountains Heritage Region addressing local and regional issues and answering questions about preserving and enhancing historic resources in your community.
The Regional Summit on Heritage, Greenways and Byways will take place on Oct. 15 starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Braintrim Baptist Church All-Purpose Building located on Church Street in Laceyville. The Summit will feature specialists and practitioners in the fields of greenways and trails, heritage tourism, historic preservation and scenic byways presenting information and facilitating discussion on regional assessments, best practices and the critical issues affecting the preservation, enhancement and promotion of our region’s natural and man-made resources.
