On August 27, the Wellsboro Office of First Citizens National Bank went all-out as they continue to celebrate the grand opening of their newly-constructed office at 1 Pearl St. in Wellsboro. The entire community was invited to enjoy live music provided by Cindy and Sandy Higgins and a real picnic feast including roast pig, hotdogs and cake. To help promote the event, the local radio station, WNBT 104.5, was live on location to broadcast the day’s festivities. Many customers and community members took guided tours of the new facility.
Partygoers had the chance to win a cooler filled with picnic goodies, and a home décor basket. Erin Root was the lucky winner of the grand prize 19″ flat screen television. In addition, anyone who opened a new account through September 10 received a key to a treasure chest filled with prizes from local merchants.
Events leading up to the grand opening picnic included a ribbon cutting ceremony and light luncheon for all involved with making the new building a success. In addition, to encourage the community to test out the office’s new easy-accessible drive-up ATM, the bank mixed some $50 bills in with the $20s giving some lucky ATM users a little more for their money.
Marsha B. Jones, Wellsboro Office Manager, commented, “We had a great day. The sun was shining and our picnic tables, benches and even our lawn were filled with well wishers enjoying the music, food and comradery. We hope our facility not only allows us to better serve our customers but provides us the opportunity to serve our community as well.”
