Pet of the week for the week of Sept. 26, 2010

Pet of the WeekDouble and Trouble (black) and Rascal (gray tiger) are adorable, affectionate, and playful 3 month old kittens who were found running loose outside the shelter. First they found Double in the flowers out front, then Rascal out back in the bushes. Rascal cried and cried and cried until the staff went out and looked again and finally located Trouble hiding in the trees. Trouble was in with cat food. Rascal gave trouble a big hug and cuddled up with her when they were reunited.

If you would like to adopt a kitten or another companion animal, stop by the shelter on Route 220 in Ulster from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

For cats that are not spayed or neutered there is a $20 fee for the cat and $50 deposit for the spay / neuter. If the cat is already spayed / neutered the cost of the cat is $50 for an additional fee up to $20 for the feline leukemia test and shots.
