At an Awards Ceremony on Sept. 24, the Bradford County Regional Arts Council (BCRAC), working in partnership with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA), presented its annual PA Partners in the Arts Awards at the Keystone Theater in Towanda.
Representative Tina Pickett, Erik Houser from Senator Yaw’s office, and Wendy Ribecca from Representative Matt Baker’s office were in attendance to recognize and celebrate the 25 arts / cultural projects receiving PA Partners in the Arts funding and to share information on Bradford County Regional Arts Council’s Art in Education program (a partnership initiative of the PA Council on the Arts). Arts and cultural organizations and individual artists from Bradford, Columbia, Montour, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga and Wyoming Counties were present to receive their grant checks.
The ceremony showcased the Sullivan County Council on the Arts and Sally Wiene-Grotta (PPA Grant Recipients) as part of the recognition and celebration. DVD / slide presentations and verbal presentations of arts / cultural programming throughout our region entertained and educated those present for the event. The evening concluded with Representative Tina Pickett, Erik Houser, and Wendy Ribecca assisting in the distribution of over $33,000 in grant funds.
