Troy teams win over the crowd during cheerleading competition

On Sunday, Nov. 14, the Northern Tier Youth Football League hosted their 2nd annual cheerleading competition in Towanda. The seven schools competing included Troy, Towanda, Canton, Wellsboro, Wyalusing, Sayre and Cowanesque Valley.

The Troy A team, which consists of 5th and 6th graders, was coached by Kris Dibble and Heather Bohner. The team took 1st place in the crowd cheer and 2nd place in the dance routine.

The B team, consisting of 3rd and 4th graders, was coached by Pam Sechrist and Jodi Farr. The team took 2nd place in the crowd cheer and 3rd place in the dance routine.

The C team, consisting of 1st and 2nd graders, was coached by Maria Cummings and Cassine Cummings. The team took 1st place in the crowd cheer and 3rd place in the dance routine.

The girls have been practicing hard since September and did a wonderful job!
