Handprints and heartbeats sing out

Children ages one to three sing "Old Saint Nicholas Had a Farm" at the Handprints and Heartbeats Christmas program.

Last Thursday evening the United Methodist Church in Troy rang with children’s voices, bells and rattles. It was the first annual Christmas performance of Deb Harer’s Handprints and Heartbeats Childcare and Early Learning Center. Four age groups performed and sang songs. The youngest was the babies’ group age one and younger, followed by ages one to three, three to five, and school age. Directed by Robyn Chamberlain, day care director, the staff worked hard to prepare a show enjoyed by all. The day care team includes Billlie Jo Hunter, Crystal Walker, Misty Clark, Latoya Murray, Trish Watkins, Trina Congdon, Liz Woodward, Cherryl Stone, Melba Sentyz and Myranna Heasley.

Brenna Fourney tells Santa her Christmas wishes.

At the end of the performances in the sanctuary, a surprise visitor from the North Pole arrived! Santa was just in time for milk and cookies and to listen to the children share their Christmas wishes.
