The 30th Annual Endless Mountain Maple Festival has plenty of entertainment lined up for this year’s festival planned for May 7 and May 8 at Alparon Park in Troy.
This year’s Entertainment includes exhilarating, fast moving, foot tapping musical shows with Dan and Galla. They will be performing their variety of contemporary and traditional music on the Center Court Stage both Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 a.m., noon and 4:00 p.m. Their talents include vocals, music on the keyboards, guitar, accordion, flute and Balalaika.
The Trackside stage will feature “Forgiven” on Saturday at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Forgiven, a local band from the Troy Fellowship Bible Church will be performing their passion of Christian Rock Music from groups like Third Day, Seventh Day Slumber, Kutless and more.
Sunday on the Trackside Stage is the 3rd annual Battle of the Bands from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a new band performing every 1/2 hour. This year there will be two categories in which a band can win, one category will be judged by independent Judges, the second one will be judged by Troy Fair committee for a spot on the Trackside stage at the Troy Fair. For both categories audience participation Is a part of the judging, so be sure to come out and support your favorite bands.
New this year to the Maple Festival is the Appalachian Petting farm. The petting farm will feature endangered, exotic, and miniature animals. Some of the animals you can expect to see and pet will be monkeys, lemurs, wallabies, kinkajou, miniature donkeys and more.
Don’t miss the opening of the farm museum. This year the historical village will be open for viewing of all the unique buildings, along with a civil war quilt display and demonstrations. This is all part of your Maple Festival gate admission.
And there is more with the Classic Car show on Sunday where you can expect to see cars of all makes, models and years. Other entertainment scheduled includes the Horse Pulls on Saturday and the ATV and Garden Tractor pulls on Sunday. Don’t miss the Kiddie Tractor pulls both Saturday and Sunday.
