BCHS Pet of the Week for the week of March 19, 2017

BCHS Pet of the Week

Hey, I’m Digger. I’m a four to six year old neutered male Lab mix looking for just the right person to adopt me. It takes me a while to trust people and I don’t like everyone. With someone I trust I am a big honey bear.

And when I say big, I’m not kidding. I weigh almost 100 pounds. I am happy and loving and very playful. I like to be outside and love to run. I especially like playing fetch and will stop on the return trip to throw the ball up for myself to chase some more.

I seem ferocious in my kennel, which means I am a terrific watchdog, but get me out and see what a nice boy I can be. I am house trained and I behave great on a leash for a strong handler. I know sit, shake, heel and high 5.

I need a home with no cats or children. I’m looking for a strong leader who will appreciate my quirks. In return I can supply love, loyalty, enthusiasm and entertainment. Plus security. Nobody will come in the house without my approval.

Stop by the Bradford County Humane Society (BCHS) on Route 220 in Ulster to visit me and many other pets available for adoption. The shelter is open from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Visit bradfordchs.petfinder.org to learn more. BCHS is a United Way Agency.
