Guthrie Hospice to hold Community Bereavement Support Group

Guthrie Hospice will offer a five-week Community Bereavement Support Group each Thursday, from April 20 through May 18 at Guthrie’s Sayre Campus.

The group will meet in the 2 North Conference Room at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Rev. Jeffrey Wilkinson, chaplain and bereavement coordinator and Karen Robinson, hospice social worker will facilitate the group.

Topics will include the grieving process, coping skills and communication and stress management. The Community Bereavement Support Group is an outreach community service sponsored by Guthrie Hospice that is intended for anyone who has experienced a loss.

The phases of grief are universal; the way each person passes through each phase is different. By attending the Community Bereavement Support Group, you will find support from others who have suffered a loss and will know that you are not alone in your grieving process.

Please call Guthrie Hospice at 1-800-598-6155 to register or with any questions that you may have about grief or the Bereavement Support Group.
