he Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania, of which the Heritage Garden Club is a member, is sponsoring thirteen scholarships. Each scholarship award is a minimum of $1,000.
Applicants must be residents of Pennsylvania and are awarded to students who plan to further their education in Agriculture Education, Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Architecture, Forestry, Biology (excluding medical), Botany, Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Environmental Concerns, City Planning, Wildlife Science, Land Management and/or allied subjects.
Applications can be downloaded from the Garden Club Federation website, www.gardenclubs.org, from a high school counselor or may be obtained by contacting the Heritage Garden Club President, Barb Andrus, at (570) 297-3043.
Applications must be completed and returned to Barb Andrus and signed by her by Jan. 27, 2018.
Scholarships are available to high school seniors, college students and postgraduate students. In the past, Heritage Garden Club has sponsored two recipients of these awards. Application forms will specify all the information that will need to be provided by the student. Eligible students must maintain a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.
