Baker says $305,786 awarded to fire, ambulance companies in the 68th District

Rep. Matt Baker (R-Tioga / Bradford / Potter) recently announced that area fire and ambulance companies located in the three counties that make up the 68th Legislative District are set to receive $305,786.94 in state grants under the Fire Company and Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant Program.

“Our fire and EMS companies do so much to ensure the safety of the people and structures in their communities, often with very little resources,” said Baker. “These grants provide some much-needed funding in order for these organizations to pay the bills, get the latest training and make sure they have any necessary equipment.”

Funding from the Fire Company and Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant Program can be used for construction or renovation of a company’s station, the purchase or repair of equipment, training or debt reduction.
