Dave Willis once said, “Great marriages don’t happen by luck or by accident. They are the result of a consistent investment of time, thoughtfulness, forgiveness, affection, prayer, mutual respect, and a rock-solid commitment between a husband and wife.”
On July 8, 2017, Kelly (Guthrie) Gee married the love of her life, Scott Gee. Following a beautiful ceremony, the newly married couple gathered with their friends and family at the Troy Sale Barn for their exciting reception.
“I looked at a variety of venues, all local, including having the wedding on my own property; and for the price, you couldn’t beat the Sale Barn,” said Kelly Gee.
For a couple that is engaged, wedding planning can become overwhelming and stressful, but Gee explained how beneficial the Sale Barn was in planning and setting up for their reception.
“Nicole Harris and Steve Robbins were life savers,” explained Gee. “The application was very easy to fill out and if I had a question, Nicole quickly answered it.”
When renting the Sale Barn for their reception, they had three days reserved for the event. The Gee’s specifically liked the flexibility the Sale Barn offered. They were allowed to bring in any caterer of their choice and they had the opportunity to decorate the Barn however they wished.
“It really didn’t need a lot of decorations. It’s beautiful with the white lights that are already there,” said Gee.
While reminiscing through the photos, it was relevant that the Troy Sale Barn held pure beauty and an overabundance of love on the day of their reception.
“I would highly recommend the Sale Barn. It is a beautiful facility, a great asset to the town of Troy,” Gee added. “The ladies and men who have poured their hearts and souls into this facility should be proud (because) it’s an awesome place!”
