Sara Romanik will provide the Special Music for the Standing Stone Community on Sunday, June 10, at 7 p.m. at The Vesper Church.
Sara is married to Walter Romanik and they have four children and seven grandchildren. Amanda and Kurt Goglin have two sons, Elijah – 13 and Ezekeiel – nine; Abram has three children, Michelle – 12, Michael – 11 and Megan five; and Anabel and Matthew have two sons – Chase – five, and Colton – two.
Sara has been singing since she was three years old and has sung professionally for 31 years. Sara not only sings, but she plays the organ beautifully. She works as a nurse at the Athens Health and Rehab Center.
Sara is well known throughout the Northeast and Southern New York area for her singing, but also for square dance calling. She has won first place several times for being the best in Square Dance Calling. She has won first place last year in New York competition and she is very happy about that.
Sara loves to sing and has sung for the senior citizens, many churches, community events, birthday parties, anniversary parties, and at the Wysox Fire Hall. She loves Country and Gospel Music and sings every chance she gets.
Faith Jaynes is organist, Carol O’Brien is pianist, and Rev. Robert Martin is the speaker for the evening.
At the Wysox Intersection of Route 6 / 187, take Route 6 East towards Wyalusing. About four miles at the top of the Wysox Narrows, turn right and go down River Road, along the Susquehanna River. The church is two miles on the left. Coming from the Wyalusing area, go West on Route 6, in Rummerfield take a left on River Road and the church is 2.7 miles on the right.
