The 2nd Annual Drug Awareness Rally is open to the public and will be held from noon to 4 p.m., at the Canton Fireman’s Field (along Rt. 14 South of Canton) on Saturday, July 14. This is a not a fundraiser, but is a free community event being sponsored by the Canton Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ).

Everything is free of charge, except for food, which will be available for purchase. The event is comprised of community members, either individually or with an organization, volunteering to make this an amazing event.

There will be door prizes that have been donated for this event ranging from a gas grill, to gift certificates for local establishments.

The Bradford County Sheriff’s Department will be collecting unwanted medications during the event. There will also be a bounce house, obstacle course, dunk tank, face painting, a clown and games with prizes, as well as various speakers, Praise Band, drug prevention and treatment information tables, a private prayer area, and much more.

Organizers hope to touch many families and help brighten their day.

The event will take place rain or shine. If it rains, there will be no inflatables or a dunk tank, but everything else will be available.
