More than 150 collectors attended the biannual stamp show sponsored by the Allentown Philatelic Society on June 30, breaking the modern day attendance record that was set several years ago.

The show featured 15 dealers and an exhibit celebrating the 100th anniversary of U.S. airmail delivery. Local Girl Scout Troop 8847 provided food service.

“We easily broke our record of 120 attendees, which was set at a show in 2016,” said club president Bill Harris.

“I’m sure we drew more than that many years ago, when the hobby was more popular, but,” the Bethlehem, Pa., resident added, “we don’t have records that go that far back.” The club will celebrate its 100th birthday in 2023.
