In this scene from Hamilton-Gibson’s production of “The Velocity of Autumn,” Alexandra (Pat Balon) blocks the door to keep her son, Chris (Herb Johnson) from opening it because she doesn’t want anyone to come into her apartment.
Her three grown children, including Chris are concerned because she is 80 and although healthy and quick-witted, lives by herself. They think she should move. Alexandra wants to stay where she is.
This comedy-drama is described as “a wickedly funny and wonderfully touching discovery of the fragility and ferocity of life.”
