The Rialto Theatre in Canton will be showing the National Theatre Live’s presentation of “Julie” on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m.
Wild and newly single, Julie, played by Vanessa Kirby, who brought to life Princess Margaret in Season I and II of The Crown – throws a late night party.
Julie is in her kitchen with Jean, a male partygoer and Kristina, cleaning up while the party goes on in another room.
She gets into a power situation with Jean, which descends into a savage fight for survival.
This play is based on Strindberg’s Miss Julie, with this version being written by Polly Strinham and is set in contemporary London.
It is noted that the play contains strobe lighting.
