Bradford-Tioga Head Start, Inc.’s. Safety Team, comprised of representatives from Central Office supervisors and managers, classrooms, and Early Head Start, recognizes that home safety is important. As a proactive approach, Bradford-Tioga Head Start, Inc.’s. Safety Team is providing a safety bag containing a blanket, smoke detector, first aid kit, child safety kit, and fire extinguisher to each family.  

Injury prevention information is also being provided, which outlines how injuries such as falls, poisonings, suffocation, choking, and burns can be prevented in the home. Directions and general safety tips to assist families in developing their own home fire escape plan are also included.

Bradford-Tioga Head Start, Inc. is a program that offers state and federally funded programs for pregnant mothers, families and their children, newborn up to the age of five; this includes Early Head Start, Head Start, and Pre-K Counts services.
