‘The Tragedy of King Richard the II’ at the Rialto

One more week to go before the Rialto Theatre in Canton will present the National Theatre Live’s presentation of “The Tragedy of King Richard the II” on Saturday, March 16 at 12:30 p.m.

Richard II is irresponsible, foolish and vain, and his weak leadership sends his kingdom into disarray and his court into uproar. He is played by Simon Richard Beale, considered to be the finest Shakespearean actor of this time. Seeing no other option but to seize power, the ambitious Bolingbrooke challenges the throne and the king’s divine right to rule.

Tickets for this event can be obtained at the Rialto box office, the Canton Independent-Sentinel office, or online at bcrac.org.
