Tioga County Indivisible announced they will host a Congressional Candidate Forum on Thursday, May 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Warehouse Theater, located at 3 Central Ave. in Wellsboro. Both candidates running to represent Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District – Marc Friedenberg and Fred Keller – have been invited to attend.

Friedenberg is a professor of cybersecurity, cyber law, Internet privacy and the global economy at Penn State University. Keller is a Pennsylvania state representative for Snyder and Union Counties.

The 12th Congressional District is currently without representation in Washington, and following the resignation of Representative Tom Marino. The outlines of the 12th Congressional District were changed last year. It now includes all of Potter, Tioga, Bradford, Susquehanna, Clinton, Lycoming, Sullivan, Union, Snyder, Mifflin, and Juniata counties, as well as parts of Centre, Montour, and Northumberland counties.

At the forum, the candidates will each be given ten minutes to present their platforms, and then they will answer questions from the audience through a moderated question and answer session.

This event is free and open to the public. Community members are encouraged to attend and participate.
