The Bradford County Humane Society (BCHS) took advantage of May 11, the first dry day in recent memory, to host its first Lazy Dog Golf Tournament and MomCat Basket Raffle.  Around 60 competitors and volunteers, who enjoyed the great weather, beautiful course and Tomasso’s excellent hospitality, attended the event.

A Bradford County Humane Society event would not be complete without an adoptable animal friend. Sherlock did a great job of representing the Humane Society, although he is definitely not lazy and gave the volunteers plenty of exercise all day long.

BCHS’s own team received some pointers from golfer John Borits, but did not achieve their dream of making the hole in one at the ninth hole, and claiming the $10,000 prize donated by Landy and Kilmer Insurance of Sayre.

In fact, although expert golfers dominated the event, no one won the ultimate prize this year. Next year, someone’s got to get lucky.
