Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. is dog day at the Troy Fairgrounds. Family dogs are welcome to the annual Paw-La-Palooza where everything is about dogs.
Canine CPR, grooming, and K-9 demonstrations, dog treats, plus food and craft vendors will be among the offerings to dogs and their families. Volunteers from Happy Tails No-Kill Animal Shelter will be bringing the event to the area to aid abused and homeless dogs. Their hope is that local communities will turn out and, in so doing, support their goals and the final construction stage of the shelter building in Burlington Township.
Four rock and country bands will perform throughout the day, amid such activities as a raffle, kids’ games, face painting, dog photos, and the Muttminster Dog Show at 1 p.m.
A small gate fee will be charged, and owners choosing to enter dogs in the “for fun” Muttminster Show will have a fee per category. Winners in each category will be awarded prizes.
All dogs attending the event must be leashed and up-to-date on vaccinations.
