In addition to the new location, they will also be open longer; the new hours will be Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the Troy Fair. The Bingo Booth’s Grand Opening will be Monday, July 22, at 10 a.m. with a Ribbon Cutting. Everyone is welcomed.

The Troy Lions current Bingo Booth is over 50 years old and, while it is still in good condition, it is going to be utilized for other activities at its current location. The new location will be in the Lower Meadow, in front of the Exhibit Hall Buildings and across from the 4-H Building.

They picked this new site due to the quieter location, easy access from Gate 3, and it being a high traffic area. The Lions also hope to utilize this booth for other occasions throughout the year as well, not just during the Troy Fair.

Troy Lions will be keeping the tradition of the 50-cent card, jackpot every 15 games, and will still continue to collect unused eyeglasses.

They have always been a big supporter of the Troy Fair, starting back in 1954 when they purchased Alparon Park for the Troy Community. They raised the funds in a short period of time and purchased the 63 acres for $12,500.

The Troy Lions have had many accomplishments in their 80 years of supporting this wonderful community. They will continue to serve for many years to come with their dedicated current membership of 69 Lions.

To help with the expense of the bingo booth, the Troy Lions Club is holding a Gun Raffle. It will coincide with the PA Lottery Daily Number drawing throughout September 2019. They will be giving away a gun a day for the entire month. The $20 raffle ticket will be for sale at the Bingo Booth during the 144th Troy Fair.

If you would like to contribute to the Bingo Booth, your donations can be sent to the Troy Lions Club, P.O. Box 215, Troy, Pa. 16947.
