Showcase your talent at the Tioga County Fair

Like to sing, dance or play an instrument? Are you looking for a chance to perform on stage before a live audience?  Here’s your big chance!

The Tioga County Fair will once again host an Amateur Talent Contest on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 7 p.m. on the Midway Stage of the Fairgrounds in Whitneyville, Pa.

Sponsored by the Blossburg State Coal Festival, the competition is open to Tioga County residents who are considered amateur entertainers only. No professionals may compete. Contestants aged two through 99 years old are welcome to compete.

Each performance is limited to a maximum five minutes.  A microphone will be provided; however, contestants must provide any other equipment or instruments necessary for their performance. It is recommended that entertainers come early to test the sound.

A panel of three judges will choose winners. Cash awards totaling $500 will be presented to three winners. The show will be limited to 15 participants, so register early.

To register or for information on the Talent Contest, contact Jess Sandstrom at (570) 404-4529 before July 29.

Winners from prior years will be put on a waiting list until new entries are accepted.

Complete rules can be found in the 2019 Tioga County Fair Book at various locations or on the Fair’s website, TiogaCountyFair.com.
