The Friends of Mt. Pisgah State Park are happy to announce that Women in the Wilds will be held Saturday, Aug. 3. They have a great group of instructors providing activities from Bee Keeping to Yoga. Access your creative side at the flower arranging, photography, woodworking, or barn painting activities. If you want to get active, they have archery, fly fishing, kayaking, and trail safety.
This year they are adding additional exhibitors over the lunch hour to give the participants more time to connect with local vendors and community education programs. The goal for the event is to provide a day of education and fun to regenerate the minds, bodies, and spirits of the female attendees. All women are encouraged to join.
They allow females over the age of 14, but ask that minors attend with a parent or guardian. The early registration price of $60 will include coffee break, lunch, Women in the Wilds recyclable mug, and all activity supplies. Late registrations will be accepted (if there are still openings) after July 20 for the cost of $70. This year’s event is limited to 100 registrants to promote a better instructor / student ratio for the activities.
