On Friday, May 17, Barbara Perry went on a two-day trip to Niagara Falls with her mother, Francis Barrett, and her sister, Wendy Kupchin. Perry was in Niagara Falls for only four hours when she had a heart attack. She was at the Niagara Falls Medical Center for five days.
Less than a month later, on June 3, Perry had another hear attack with some complications. As a result, she was in Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre for seven days.
The family is holding a benefit dinner and Chinese auction to help take care of the high medical costs. It will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Bradley Hall in Columbia Crossroads. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for ages six to 12, and free for age five and under.
There will also be a gun raffle, with the drawing to take place at the benefit dinner.
