Take the time to Uncork, Uncap, and Unwind at the 2019 Brew and Wine Festival being held Sept. 21, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Alparon Park and the Troy Fairgrounds. The event will be located in the lower meadow area of the park and can be accessed from Gate 1 and 3.
Brew and Wine Tasting will be provided with the tasting ticket for those 21 and over ($15 pre-sale, $20 at the gate). A complimentary souvenir glass will be provided with First Citizens Bank and C&N Bank Troy Branches sponsoring the glasses. The purchase of a tasting ticket also gets an entry into a prize drawing for a prize basket and night’s stay at Crystal Springs Inn & Suites.
Bluestone and Boom City Brewing will be offering tasting of their craft beer. A variety of wineries – Staggering Unicorn Winery, Deep Roots Hard Cider, Mountain Lake Winery, Lucchi Family Cellars, Timber Ridge Winery, and Lopez Winery will serve tastings of various fruit wines and cider.
The lower meadow will be full of a wide variety of vendors from cheese tastings to Jewelry and other handcrafted merchandise. The Troy Lions Club, Oisishi Yoshii Japanese Food, Taco Bill’s Taco Madness, J & D Kettle Corn, and Mill Street Treats will provide delicious food.
In addition to all of the food, brews and wines there will be a full array of fun events!
For the Jeep enthusiast, the event will be hosting a Jeep Show with prizes sponsored by Blaise Alexander in Mansfield, Pa. Prizes will be awarded for Best in Show, Best Modified, and Most Unique. There is no cost to register a Jeep and drivers will be given a designated driver pass for the event.
If competitive events are your thing, a Cornhole Tournament is being planned with a $10 entry fee for each team, with 100 percent payback to the winner.
What about Pumpkin Chunking? Yes, you read that right. They are debuting a pumpkin chucker (large catapult) that will launch pumpkins towards a target. Be sure to test out your aim and earn some bragging rights.
For those who just want to enjoy the tastings and relax— Still Kickin’ will be rocking Alparon Park with their brand of classic rock hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s. The band will be performing on the Lower Meadow Pavilion Stage. A local chainsaw carver will be demonstrating and selling carvings.

A $5 Designated Driver ticket is available to all ages. The $15 pre-sale tasting ticket includes the souvenir tasting glass and entry into prize drawing. Ticket price will increase to $20 day of the event. No outside alcohol or coolers allowed.
