New Creation Events presents a one-day ladies conference, Beauty From Ashes, with well-known evangelical Sharon Jaynes. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Wellsboro Area High School Auditorium, located at 227 Nichols St. in Wellsboro, Pa.
The author of several books, including, Becoming the Woman of His Dreams, Praying for Your Husband from Head to Toe, and her best seller, The Power of a Woman’s Words, Jaynes has been featured in various blogs, magazines, podcasts, and television shows.
With a passion to equip women to live fully and free, she has been encouraging women through ministry for over 25 years. She explains, “We women today face many struggles and challenges [as we try] desperately to balance our varied roles and responsibilities. If you’re like me, you’re looking for peace in the chaos of life, perspective among the cultural clattering that daily bombards us, and purpose that brings true fulfillment.”
For her speaking engagement on Oct. 5, Jaynes will be focusing on her latest book, Enough: Silencing the Lies That Steal Our Confidence. Throughout the day she will expose the lies that keep women bogged down in shame, insecurity, and feelings of inadequacy. She will teach her audience how to replace those lies with truth and help them recognize their incredible worth as women who are uniquely fashioned and spiritually empowered.
Leading worship at the conference is “Redeemed by Grace,” a group of family and friends that have been leading worship music for over 10 years.
On Friday, Oct. 4, a Meet and Greet will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the location to be announced. The Meet and Greet is limited to only 75 women who will have the opportunity to talk with Jaynes over refreshments.
Tickets purchased in advance are required for this special event. Advance tickets to the Conference, including the Meet and Greet, are $25 per person.
For Saturday’s Conference alone, advance tickets are $20 per person. A special group rate for 10 people or more for the Conference is $18 per person. Ticket price goes up $10 if purchased at the door.
Doors open Saturday at 7:30 a.m. with the Conference starting promptly at 8:30 a.m. Lunch is on your own, enabling participants to enjoy the many restaurants in Wellsboro. If preferred, participants can bring their own, as tables will be set up with coffee, water, and tea provided.
