The Towanda Elks are hoping to “Pack the Bus” for needing local older adults through their annual food drive. Their partner in this effort, Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna, and Tioga Counties Area Agency on Aging (B/S/S/T AAA), will distribute the food items.

Non-perishable food items can be dropped off during normal club hours 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at the Towanda Elks Lodge, located at 929 S. Main St. in Towanda.

The Elks will hold their monthly breakfast buffet on Oct. 20 and donations can be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. The Elks Turkey Dinner will be held on Nov. 3, and donations can be dropped off between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations to the Breakfast Buffet or Turkey Dinner to receive a discount.

The B/S/S/T Area Agency on Aging, Inc. is funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging; the United Way of Bradford County; the Lycoming County United Way serving Wellsboro and southern Tioga County; the United Way of Susquehanna County and Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna, and Tioga County Commissioners.
