Happy Tails to host ‘Christmas in the Country’ fundraising event

Let the merriment begin on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m. with Christmas in the Country at the fire hall in Ulster, Pa. Happy Tails No Kill Animal Shelter is sponsoring the day of activities for individuals and families. 

The event will involve 40 vendors and crafts people, music, a Christmas flea market, food, games, story time, raffles, gift-wrapping, and visitations and photos with Santa.  

Children and family pictures with Santa will be offered between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Pet photos with Santa will be available in December on a date “to be announced.”

In addition, members of Sanphy’s Orchestra will provide live music. Any proceeds for Happy Tails will help fund the completion and operating expenses of the structure on Route 6 in Burlington Township. When open, the shelter will be a refuge for abused and abandoned animals.
