The Canton VIA recently announced the winners of their outdoor Christmas Decorating Contest entitled “The Spirit of Christmas Shines in Canton, PA”.

The Top Three Winners chosen from the entries received were as follows: First Place – David and Beverly Wesneski at 305 W. South Ave.; Second Place – Joe and Mary Nybeck at 301 N. Center St.; and Third Place – Bret and Sarah Neely at 97 High St.

Although only three winners could be chosen, the members decided that the entry of St. Michael’s Rectory at 108 N. Washington St. was to be given an Honorable Mention, since it was also very beautifully decorated.

The VIA wants to thank everyone who entered the contest!

In a release, they stated, “What a better way to ‘beautify our town’ and bring Joy to the people living and traveling through Canton. Hope everyone enjoyed the lights and decorations and had a very glorious Christmas and wishing everyone a very Blessed New Year!”
