‘Afternoon of Inspiration Concert’ planned for March 1

Once again, talented guests will be gathering to “inspire” the public to give generously to benefit the Volunteers In Mission (VIM) team of the Spring Hill United Methodist Church.

At 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, the Wyalusing United Methodist Church will host an afternoon of musical talents. There will be singers, instrumentalists, pianists, duets, and groups.

Local businesses, friends, and local artisans have donated items and gift certificates for a silent auction that will take place in the social room.

Homemade goodies, punch and coffee will be served following the concert and a free will offering will be taken.

All money raised will benefit the mission team to fund their work.

Bill Beebe, the leader of the VIM team, as well as other members, will be on hand to share about their mission trips. The team has worked locally in places like Athens, Laceyville, Dallas and Rocky Forest, as well as farther away in Nashville, West Virginia and Iowa. They have also worked with the Houma Indians in Gulf Port, Mississippi and Duloc, Louisiana.

Concert coordinator Faith Jaynes invites one and all to attend and enjoy.

Anyone wishing to support the VIM team may mail a contribution to: Spring Hill United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 528, Wyalusing, Pa. 18853. (Please add VIM team to the memo line of your check.)

For more information, contact Faith Jaynes at (570) 746-3237.
