On Thursday, the Troy Fair Board announced they would cancel this year’s Troy Fair.
In a statement on their website, the board wrote, “We have spent countless hours researching and advocating for the fair, but ultimately the final decision was out of our control as the property is owned by the Troy Borough Municipal Authority.”
In their message, they continued, “The Troy Borough Municipal Authority has made the final decision to cancel the Fair under the current restrictions of Governor Wolf.”
Details will be posted as to how the Fair Board will process refunds for tickets that have been purchased, along with deposits that have been paid by vendors.
The 145th Troy Fair was planned for July 27 to Aug. 1, 2020 at Alparon Park, located on Route 14 just north of Troy Pennsylvania.
