Classic Cars and Trucks are invited to the weekly Troy Town Cruisers Cruise-In in Troy, Pa. each Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. through the end of September.

AUGUST 23

Springfield Baptist Church 200th Anniversary Celebration, join them for any or all of the day’s activities: Sunday school is at 8:45 a.m.; Church at 10 a.m.; Ice Cream Social at 2 p.m.; Hymn Sing at 3:30 p.m.

Cancelled: Lumber River Concert had been scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 23 on the Green in East Smithfield has been cancelled.

Sayre Summer Concert Series, 6:15 p.m., Howard Elmer Park. The Stoutmen will perform on the Howard Elmer Park Bandstand.

Armenia Mountain Spurs Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation Banquet, begins at 2:30 p.m. with dinner at 4:30, Troy Fire Company. Contact David LeVan at (570) 297-4224 for reservations or information.

Ridgebury Sportsmen’s Club’s Drive-thru BBQ, noon until sold out at 961Centerville Rd., Ridgebury. The cost is $12 per dinner. To place an order, call 596-4373.

Pop Up Food Pantry, noon, South Creek Fire Hall on the Roaring Run Road in Fassett, Pa. Open to Fassett, Gillett, Mosherville or Ridgebury area residents in need. Just line your vehicle up following the fireman’s directions. For more information, call (570) 529-2763.

Towanda Area Senior Citizens Club Picnic, noon, Wysox River Access pavilion by the river. Members are reminded to bring a dish to share, own table service, beverage, tablecloth and lawn chair.

Pop Up Food Pantry, South Creek Fire Station, noon, Fassett, Pa., and off Route 14. Follow directions of the fire personnel.

SEPTEMBER 7 

CANCELLED: The LeRaysville-Pike Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Labor Day activities, including its Minstrel Show, are cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizers hope to bring back these events for 2021.

“Feed My Sheep” Food Pantry, 9 a.m. to noon, Athens United Methodist Church, 118 S Main St., Athens. Small supply of basic groceries available for residents of Athens, Sayre school districts. Registration, I.D. required. Distribution will be in large parking lot. Don’t get out of your vehicle. 

Free Fellowship Meal, 4 to 6 p.m., Athens United Methodist Church, 118 S. Main St., Athens.  

Take out-only dinner will be available from the Valley Kiwanis Club. Pick up is from the parking lot. Please stay in your vehicle.  

SEPTEMBER 12

2020 Sportsman Banquet Extravaganza, starts at 1 p.m. with dinner at 5 p.m. and a guest speaker at 6 p.m., North Rome Wesleyan Church, 3374 N. Rome Rd., Rome, Pa. Free event. Crossbow grand door prize. Guest speaker is MLB baseball legend and hunter Sid Bream. Fifth Annual Valley Walk Against Suicide, 11 a.m. at Riverfront Park in Sayre. Registration at 10 a.m. Donations will be accepted and help fund the event. Donations can also be mailed to Valley Suicide Prevention and Awareness, 1766 Elmira St., #204, Sayre, Pa. 18840.

CANCELLED: The Wysox Rabies Clinic held at the former Wysox ambulance grounds has been canceled this year due to COVID.
