Alparon Community Park in Troy is hosting a new Farmer and Vendor Market on Tuesdays starting Aug. 25, and running through September. The market will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday.
If the event is well attended, according to organizers, it may continue into October.
At the Market you will find food vendors, produce, wine and hard cider, flavored popcorn, coffee, maple products, produce, perennials, flowers, and many different vendors to include Handmade Brooms, Brumates, lotions, Pink Zebra scents, T-shirts, hats, and so much more.
Vendors are subject to change each week, so you will want to check out what is new every Tuesday.
The market offers an opportunity to shop and buy from your local vendors who were unable to set up at the Maple Festival, the Troy Fair, and many other events that have been canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic. The Famer and Vendor market will give them a place to display and sell their goods while socially distancing in a safe outdoor area.
The Market will be located in the first Pavilion next to the office and in the surrounding booths. You can easily access the market by driving in Gates 1 and 3 and parking behind the office and grandstands; it can also be accessed by parking at Gate 2 and walking across the track area.
The Market will be hosting the Bradford County Bookmobile, as they will have a chance to show off their new wheels. Bring the family along for story time.
If you are interested in setting up a booth, message The Troy Fair on Facebook, email them at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call (570) 297-3648.
