Family Service Association of Northeast Pennsylvania recently announced the winner of the three-minute shopping spree at Gerrity’s Supermarkets is Mimi McGowan of Hanover Township.

McGowan’s name was randomly chosen out of hundreds, following the first ever virtual and 12th Annual Pauly Friedman 5K Family Walk / Run, held Aug. 1 through Aug. 5. McGowan will be donating her cash equivalent to a $550 gift certificate to a mission very close to her heart, Ashley Food Bank, where she regularly volunteers

The shopping spree is one of the exciting events that make up the annual event to support PA 211 Northeast / Help Line. PA 211 Northeast / Help Line has provided 24/7 telephone information, referral, advocacy, and after hours crisis support for the past 48 years.

PA 211 Northeast / Help Line serves 17 counties across Northeastern, Pennsylvania; 81,214 callers were connected to resources last fiscal year.

For information, visit nepa211.org or dial 211 from a phone.
