Classic Cars and Trucks are invited to the weekly Troy Town Cruisers Cruise-In in Troy, Pa. each Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. through the end of September.

OCTOBER 3

Kitson Gallery and Kitson Arts Alliance outdoor gathering, 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the sidewalk outside the Kitson Art Gallery, located on Tioga Street at Bridge Street, Tunkhannock. Live music begins at noon with Jessica Illuzzi, and at 1:30 p.m. with Lindsay VanGordon and Shane Fabiani. Matt Bennick Blues will perform at 3:30 p.m. followed by original music by The Sorters at 4:30 p.m.

OCTOBER 4

National Life Chain, a prayerful witness for the unborn, begins at 2 p.m. in seven area locations: Athens Twp., Elmira Street near the UPS Store; Canton, Main Street at Troy Street; Dushore, Main Street at German Street; Meshoppen, along US 6; Towanda, near the Courthouse; Wyalusing, near St. Mary’s Church; and Nichols, W. Heritage Garden Club of Troy meeting, 7 p.m., Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, Troy. Dan Rhodes of the Bradford County Conservation District will present a program on the on-going efforts to restore the American Chestnut. The meeting is open to the public.

OCTOBER 10

Cancelled: The Sullivan County Fall Art Expo originally scheduled for Oct. 10 is cancelled due to health concerns.

South Creek Lions Chicken BBQ, must be reserved in advance. Call (570) 627-2222 or (717) 406-9275. Will be held on Route 14 in Gillett. Cost is $8 for a half or $12 for a dinner, which includes salt potatoes, cole slaw, a roll, and dessert.

OCTOBER 11

Pennsylvania Game Commission’s Game Lands Wildlife Habitat Tours in Bradford County, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., State Game Lands 12. The 28-mile driving tour will take about two hours to complete.

Cancelled: Federated Church Concert, Mark Dubbeld concert that was scheduled for Oct. 11 at the Federated Church in East Smithfield has been cancelled.

A Tour of Sullivan County for all Classic Car, Trucks and Daily Drivers (rain or shine). Leave from the Troy “Dandy” at 8:45 a.m. then head to the Endless Winds Fire Company in Shunk for a Breakfast that is $5.00. After the tour they will return to the fire Company for a Chicken and Biscuit dinner (dinner is $8.00). If interested, call Lewie Jenkins at (607) 734-4668 (they need a head count so the fire Company knows how many to prepare for).
