OCTOBER 30

6th Annual Halloween for Hunger, 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturday nights in October at the Wysox Haunted House. Free basket raffle tickets for donations of non-perishable food, bar soap, toilet paper, and pet items for food pantries and animal shelters. Athens Wesleyan Church Trunk ‘N Treat: 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30

Burlington Borough: Trick-or-Treat and Trunk and Treat is cancelled due to COVID-19.

OCTOBER 31

Free winter coats at Columbia Cross Roads United Methodist Church, 9 a.m. to noon. Masks are required and there is limited admission.

Trunk or Treat Drive-Thru, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Fellowship Bible Church, 121 Mud Creek Rd., Troy, Pa. 

South Creek Township: 4 to 6 p.m.; the South Creek Township Supervisors recommend all those participating follow current CDC guidelines.

Athens Township: 5 to 7 p.m. 

Standing Stone Township: 6 to 8 p.m.

South Waverly Borough: Trick-or-Treat is cancelled due to COVID-19.

Stevensville Community Club will not be sponsoring a Halloween Party at the Hall this year.  

NOVEMER 1

Shepherd of the Hills Congregational Meeting will follow the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, Nov. 1, at St. John’s Wilmot.

NOVEMBER 4

Practical Nursing Program, 8:15 a.m. at the Northern Tier Career Center – to register or for more information contact Tina at (570) 265-8113.

NOVEMBER 5

Towanda Area Senior Citizens Club, noon, Ferguson Hall of the Wysox Presbyterian Church. Bring a dish to share and your own table service. Rhea Johnston will be the hostess and greeter. Ron Schnoover will furnish musical entertainment. Bring items for T.A.C.O.

NOVEMBER 7

Team Trivia, doors open at 5:30 p.m., Trivia begins at 7 p.m., South Creek Lions Club. Bulldog Sounds DJ Services will be at the Lions Hall for a few hours of pre-holiday fun. They will have a limit of 60 people, six people per table. Reservations only. To reserve a table for your team, message to www.facebook.com/bulldogsounds. The kitchen will be open 5:30-8 p.m. with hamburgers, hotdogs, sausage and fries, soda, water and coffee. This is a BYOB event.

6th Annual No Stomach for Cancer Walk, 1 p.m., South end of the Merrill Parkway in Towanda and everywhere around the world. Wear a No Stomach for Cancer t-shirt or a periwinkle colored shirt.

NOVEMBER 10

NOVEMBER 11 to 14

Stevensville Community Club Basket Raffle. Raffle will take place in the hall. 

NOVEMBER 14

South Creek Lions Club Turkey and Ham Carry Out Dinner, door opens at 3:30 p.m., Route 14 in Gillett. The menu includes potatoes, vegetable, baked beans, cole slaw, pie for dessert, and The Lions club’s Famous Home Baked Bread. Cost is $12 per person. They ask for social distancing while at the Lions Hall and masks must be worn when inside.
