Bradford County District Attorney Chad M. Salsman reported that the following persons were recently sentenced in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

James J. Mordent, 24, of Towanda, was sentenced to probation supervision for a term of 12 months, plus court costs, for the offense of False Reports to Law Enforcement, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Trooper Terence Foley of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Mordent for the offense following investigation of an incident that occurred in Bradford County Correctional Facility in West Burlington Township on June 10.

Romaine L. Salsman, 35, of Gillett, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a term of 72 hours to six months, followed by probation supervision for a term of 12 months, fines of $1,000, plus court costs, and he will also lose his driver’s license for 12 months, for the offenses of Driving under the Influence, (Drug Related), (first offense in 10 years), a misdemeanor, and Carrying a Firearm without a license, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper Andrew Hurchick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Salsman following investigations of incidents that occurred in Burlington Township on May 6.

Travis Taylor, 26, of Wyalusing, was sentenced to incarceration in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 24 months to 72 months, fines of $1,300, plus court costs, for the offenses of Fleeing and Eluding, a felony of the third degree, and 3 counts of Simple Assault, misdemeanors of the second degree. Trooper Waylon Smith and Trooper Luke Geiger both of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Taylor following investigations of incidents that occurred in Wyalusing and Herrick Townships on Dec. 29, 2019, and Jan. 31.

Derek A. Hovan, 25, of Towanda, was re-sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 2 months to 11 months and 29 days, fines of $300, and restitution of $200, plus court costs, for the offenses of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the third degree, and Criminal Mischief, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Chief Randy Epler of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Hovan for the offenses occurring on Feb. 21, 2019.

Joshua Vanderpool, 31, Athens, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 78 days to 12 months, fines of $500, plus court costs, for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Officer Derek Campbell of the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office arrested Vanderpool for the offense occurring on March 5 in Athens Borough.

Christopher Heasley, 31, Gillett, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 45 days (flat), followed by 24 months of treatment court probation with restrictive conditions, followed by 36 months of probation, fines of $1,000, plus court costs, for the offenses of Driving under the Influence, (second offense in 10 years), a misdemeanor of the first degree, Possession of drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and Altered , Forged of Counterfeit Documents or Plates, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Officer Brier Jenkins of the Troy Borough Police Department arrested Heasley for the DUI offense occurring on July 22. Trooper Michael Mogish of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Heasley following investigation of the Altered Plate violation that occurred in Columbia Township on Aug. 14, 2019. Trooper Christopher Decatur of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Heasley following investigation for the Drug Paraphernalia offense on March 17 in Towanda Borough.

Dustin Westbrook, 35, of Ulster, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 134 days to 12 months, fines of $150, restitution of $628, plus court costs, for the offense of Criminal Mischief, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Trooper Michael Mogish of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Westbrook following investigation of an incident that occurred in North Towanda Township on Jan. 3.

John Jarrell, 59, Troy, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to 6 months, fines of $1,000, plus court costs, for the offense of Driving under the Influence (Alcohol), (first offense in 10 years), a misdemeanor. Trooper Nathan Smith of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Jarrell following investigation of an incident that occurred in Troy Township on Feb. 21.

Elizabeth M. Chandler, 40, of Nichols, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility, for 72 hours to 12 months, fines of $1,000, plus court costs and she will also lose her driver’s license for 12 months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence, (first offense in 10 years), (highest rate), a misdemeanor. Trooper Stephen Lehner of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Chandler following investigation of an incident that occurred in Litchfield Township on Feb. 15.

Richard T. Lane, 25, Towanda, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for two months to 12 months, fines of $1000.00, plus court costs, for the offense of Receiving Stolen Property, a felony of the third degree.

Trooper Adam Thomas of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Lane following investigation of an incident that occurred in North Towanda Township on May 10, 2019.

Angelina R. Hilton, 26, Sayre, was sentenced to probation supervision for a term of 24 months, fines of $2250.00, plus court costs, for the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the second degree, and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.

Officer Eric Eccker of the Athens Borough Police Department and Officer Jason Serfas of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Hilton for the offenses occurring on May 15, 2020, and June 13, 2020.

Katrina M. Owen, 30, of Troy was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 30 days to 12 months, for the offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

Trooper Luke Geiger of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Owen following investigation of incidents that occurred in Troy Borough on May 20, 2020.

Noah T. Ackley, 22, Sayre, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to six months, fines of $1000.00, plus court costs, for the offense of Driving under the Influence, first offense in 10 years, a misdemeanor.

Officer Tyler Young of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Ackley for the offense occurring on Feb. 8, 2020.

Raegan E. Maricle, 19, of Norwich, New York, was sentenced to probation supervision for a term of 12 months, fines of $1000.00, plus court costs, for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor.

Officer Derek Watkins of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Maricle for the offense occurring on July 20, 2020.

Bradley T. Roberts, 30, Troy, was sentenced to probation supervision for a term of 12 months, fines of $100.00, restitution of $15,097.42, plus court costs, for the offenses of Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle, a misdemeanor of the second degree, and Criminal Trespass, a summary offense.

Trooper Doug Jennings of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Roberts following investigation of an incident that occurred in Sheshequin Township on March 29, 2020.

Tracy D. VanDyke Jr., 43, Gillett, was sentenced to incarceration in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 18 months to 48 months, fines of $2000.00, restitution of $200.68, for the offenses of two counts of Criminal Trespass, a felonies of the second degree.

Trooper Gregory Pimm of the Pennsylvania State Police and Trooper Michael Mogish also of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested VanDyke following investigations of incidents that occurred in Ridgebury Township on Aug. 22, 2018 and Aug. 31, 2018.

Alisha A. Rucker-Weatherby, 34, Elmira, New York, was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional facility for 30 days to 23 months, 29 days, fines of $1000.00, restitution of $517.08, for the offense of Retail Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Rucker-Weatherby for the offense occurring on May 16, 2019.

Lindsey Bashore, 27, of Lockwood, New York, was sentenced to fines of $750.00, plus court costs, for the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor of the third degree.

Officer Casey Shiposh of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Bashore for the offense occurring on July 26, 2020.
