Army National Guard Sgt. Eric L. Burton is returning to the U.S. after a deployment to Iraqi or Afghanistan in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom or Enduring Freedom, respectively. The soldiers return to Fort Dix, N.J. for debriefing, evaluations and out-processing procedures before returning to their regularly assigned Army Reserve or National Guard units. The sergeant served in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Iraq Theater of Operations. While deployed, he was decorated with the Good Conduct Medal and Army Commendation Medal. Burton, a petroleum supply specialist, is a member of Company A, 628th Aviation Support Battalion, Annville, Pa. He has served in the military for 16 years. He is the son of Larry W. Burton of S. First St., Knoxville, Pa., and Dianne M. Burton of Mill St., Westfield, Pa. In 1993, Burton graduated from Cowanesque Valley High School, Westfield.

The soldiers return to Fort Dix, N.J. for debriefing, evaluations and out-processing procedures before returning to their regularly assigned Army Reserve or National Guard units. The sergeant served in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Iraq Theater of Operations. While deployed, he was decorated with the Air Medal for his distinguished service.

Breisch, a door gunner, is a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 150th Assault Helicopter Battalion. He has 15 years of military service. He is the son of Bruce W. Breisch of Second St., and Maryanne R. Breisch, both of Coplay, Pa. His wife, Hila, is the daughter of Steven E. Plotts of Brocton, N.Y., and Lisa K. Stiffler of Roaring Branch, Pa. The sergeant is a 1994 graduate of Catasagua High School, Pa.

Senior Master Sgt. Steven L. Confair has retired from the U.S. Air Force after 25 years of faithful and honorable military service. Prior to retiring, Confair served as a B-52 bomber aircraft weapons flight chief for the 96th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, 2nd Bomb Wing at Barksdale Air Force Base, Bossier City, La. He is the son of Jean Confair of Wellsboro, Pa., and Gordon Confair of Williamsport, Pa. Confair graduated in 1984 from Wellsboro High School, Pa., and received an associate degree in 2007 from Community College of the Air Force, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.
